Know the Baker

When I was 17, I was mesmerized watching my sister bake a cake from a simple pre-mix. I couldn’t help but wonder why we didn’t bake from scratch more often. My mother’s answer was always the same: “You can bake one.” That small nudge planted a big seed.

Although I’d always been drawn to fine arts, at 17 my passion took a surprising turn — I decided baking would be my career. My journey began back in grade 10, when baking was part of my extra-curricular activities. One day, my teacher mentioned a bakery and confectionery course in Delhi, and I signed up instantly. I was hooked — every new style, every design, every confectionery creation lit up my imagination

My learning took me through some incredible places:
CCDS – Culinary and Cake Decorating School (Okhla)
Rupali Classes – Gurugram
Academy of Pastry Arts – Malaysian-based academy (Gurugram)

I went on to graduate from ITM-FHRAI with a three-year undergraduate degree in Culinary Arts. College brought me awards, recognition, and the courage to start my own home business — which eventually grew into a Bakery Café. It thrived for two wonderful years until a move to Pune brought that chapter to a close.

Now in Pune, I bake from home, creating cakes, cookies, brownies, and more for my ever-growing circle of customers. Each order is a little piece of my heart, and each smile I receive in return makes it all worth it.

As I bake, I collect and share my recipes on my blog. I’d love for you to read, try them out, comment, and share your own baking stories.

Thank you, Pune, for filling my kitchen — and my heart — with so much love.
